Specialized in mechanical and plumbing engineering design for new construction and remodeled commercial and custom residential buildings. Focus on energy efficiency and practicability, while managing teams of engineers over a myriad of large-scale projects, with an expertise in commissioning HVAC systems and energy modeling analyses. Conducted cutting-edge water/wastewater treatment and quality analysis research on four bench-scale experiments simultaneously. Developed scopes of work for, designed, and managed fabrication and operation of: vertical-flow constructed wetlands, portable anaerobic wastewater treatment and solids reduction units, biogas generation and collection mechanism, and water-borne virus detection system. Assembled and directed a twelve member international development team through design phases and implementation of a latrine waste diversion and anaerobic digestion system in El Salvador.

Organized and directed Fluid Mechanics Laboratory sessions, led group discussions, answered student questions, provided individual tutoring, and graded class assignments/lab reports. Formulated a thesis on the feasibility of decentralized municipal wastewater treatment using Excel spreadsheet modeling capabilities; determined equivalent economies of scale required for implementation of designed systems, as compared to existing sewer/utility rates and projected infrastructure costs.

Designed and installed a 30ft free-standing tower with foundation; coordinated with county engineer to attain required permits, stake utility lines, and perform inspections. Created GIS-based mapping; performed hydrologic studies and topographical field surveys to create and calibrate rainfall runoff models; designed hydraulic structures and subsequent stage-discharge models; assimilated data, produced, edited, and published flood warning system reports; installed and maintained rainfall and stream flow gage stations.

Designed multiple firehouse and community center building layouts and site development plans in AutoCAD; constructed 3-D building models in Solid Works; prepared construction cost estimates for each design. Performed a roads study of Elbert County in accordance with CDOT regulations; generated GIS-based maps for suggested realignments. Prepared and published comprehensive reports and Power Point presentations of findings.
