Those early days led to founding a music-funded clean water nonprofit that provided over 20,000 women, children, and families in Nigeria with access to clean water.Negotiating my first music contract was a turning point. I found myself surrounded by people in suits, who, instead of asking me about my music, focused on my expectations for future streaming, conversion rates, and merch sales. I realized then that while my world revolved around music, the music world revolved around business. This revelation was my gateway into the world of entrepreneurship, finance, and ultimately, investing.I pursued both my bachelor's and master’s in economics at Johns Hopkins, balancing classes with concerts in different cities at night, often catching red-eye buses back to campus for morning lectures.During college, I co-founded First Fridays Group, a music-driven ed-tech company that taught DJing and artistry, later hosting events where those we taught got to perform to crowdsi n the thousands. We got investments from Hopkins, Red Bull, and made national news.When COVID halted our in-person events, I pivoted into Investment Banking. I joined Morgan Stanley's M&A group and worked on ~$100Bn of transactions across industries.I also spent time at Warner Music Group, where I worked on strategic deals with global tech players like Meta and Snap, and virtual event partnerships featuring artists like David Guetta on platforms like Roblox.Currently, I’m an investor at TPG Capital, focusing on Tech, Media, and Entertainment.Outside of work, I enjoy soccer, building websites, and developing apps/tools for creators.
