As a Software Tester at Capita SDS (formally Beat Systems), I'm working in an agile environment using my existing knowledge and developing my skills on a new and existing technologies. I was a System Tester for the Student Loans Company with experiences in portals and online applications for student funding in Further and Higher education - mainly Further Education.Throughout this role it's my responsibility to write my own requirements, test scripts and set up test labs for formal functional testing. These, for the majority, have been based on functional and technical specifications. Throughout recent testing there has been minimal to no documentation whilst the company is adopting an Agile approach to current and upcoming projects.I've also have experience with release management and on a regular basis have organised Integrated Release Plans (IRPs) for implementation of releases throughout testing to lead ultimately to the live environment. This process included environment management whereby I organised and maintained a self-made release tracker to track and ensure that I'm releasing the correct JAVA and Oracle builds into the correct place and testing locations i.e. for System Test or UAT/Performance testing.
