I develop Network Security options involving Cisco ASA Firewall Products. I am responsible for the configuration and implementation of these devices.

Responsible for configuring and maintaining firewalls and a broad range of networking equipment for many academic and administrative departments throughout the university. Analyze current configurations, and the prospects for expansion, and develop dynamic safeguards (both computer and security related). Coordinate efforts with IT Directors or Unit Computing Managers. Source for best prices and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Function as liaison with Unit Computing Managers to optimize installations, modifications and upgrades, and to resolve diverse desktop issues. Also perform VPN configurations and manage hardware installations in remote locations. Serve as Project Manager overseeing teams assigned to installations and troubleshooting. Perform checks to ensure integrity of installs and quality of work performed.
