I have a passion for our public schools. I believe they are the cornerstone of our democracy and they are in a state of crisis. Without changes and support, the struggles will only get worse. The last few years have brought unprecedented challenges to our schools that have stressed everyone in these systems, particularly the leaders. I started Next Level Leadership Services to support current school leaders navigate these turbulent waters and to support new and promoting leaders as they move through the recruitment and selection processes.As a twenty-four year veteran of public school leadership, with thirty years of service to public schools, I have first hand knowledge of the challenges our school leaders face. Veteran leaders are burning out and leaving education. Mid-level leaders are choosing to not advance in their careers. Future leaders are avoiding formal leadership roles. Leaders are retiring early across our system. All of our leaders need support and, due to my life experiences, I am uniquely prepared to understand these challenges and to breathe the necessary passion for the work back into our leaders. My goal is to help our leaders find fulfillment in their work, balance, and student centered professional success.
