Business Manager
CurrentResponsible for the effective operational, financial and commercial management of a corporate clinical function (Occupational Health) provided to both a host NHS Trust, and externally to over 500 organisations in the public, private and charitable health care, council, education, manufacturing and food production industries. Working in close liaison with the Associate Director of 'Workplace Health and Wellbeing' and professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Workforce for the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH); it is my role to drive the continued strategic development of our occupational health service and ensure consistent delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare product.Key responsibilities:- Commissioning, negotiating, pricing, maintaining and monitoring of all service contracts;- Business development, marketing, networking and tender procurement;- Monitoring and review of viability for all work performed by Workplace Health and Wellbeing (with reference to both finance and staff resourcing);- Full budget management (as both an internal public sector and income generating department) including preparation of annual pay and non-pay budgets, costing of customer-facing clinical time, monthly invoice authorisation and collation of income figures, financial mapping and planning for new business;- Creation, monitoring and maintenance of all legal documentation including Service Level Agreements, Sub-Contract Agreements, Framework Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.;- Ensure compliance with current best practice and relevant employment legislation;- Be instrumental in the strategic management and future business planning of Workplace Health and Wellbeing, project managing any major changes in service delivery that occur;- Oversight of the management of the non-clinical, back-of-house administration function; and- Management of equipment infrastructure (including IT and clinical).
