Responsible for compilation and timely delivery of all tenders and framework applications through project and people management of each department; technical, business support and Director (for authorisation). Report and present monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs to the board of Directors, suggest strategies for improvement and implement key changes.In addition to my procurement duties; responsible for the management and review of all contracts and legal documentation, both at tender and project award stage. Responsible for management and production of global, multi-million pound oil and gas, non-oil and gas and renewable energy industry tenders for the Fugro EMU Ecology division. This includes; review of complex scopes of work; provision of technical solutions; negotiation of costs; contract review and negotiation; compilation and submission to Client. Operational management of field teams through position of Lead Scientist for; a variety of offshore and onshore, large scale, pre- and post seabed construction environmental baseline surveys; site specific habitat investigation surveys; and Marine Mammal Observation (MMO), including the use of Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) equipment, for geophysical acoustic and geotechnical piling surveys. I have completed offshore surveys in Europe (England, Scotland, Shetland Isles, Norway), the Arctic, the Middle East (U.A.E), Americas (Caribbean) and Africa (Congo, Gabon, Angola) and am well versed in the use of environmental sampling equipment (sediment and water), seabed photography systems, hydrochemistry profiling equipment and hydroacoustic monitoring arrays.Full ownership of writing reports for surveys completed by myself or a colleague. This included statistical analysis of survey data (univariate and multivariate) to identify and assess; environmental patterns in particle grain sizes and associated benthic faunal abundances; impacts of anthropogenic activity; and spatial variations of hydrocarbons and heavy and trace metals. Seabed video and photographic data also analysed to identify any areas of protected habitat or species, and to delineate sediment types for habitat mapping. This role included use of GIS software and reviewing of literature.

As a research volunteer I spent a summer in the field (Canary Islands) investigating the social ecology and behavioural relationships of migrating cetaceans, with particular emphasis on the potential short and long term effects of the intrusive whale-watching tourism industry. I later wrote my university final year thesis with the data collected and historic data at the foundation, which was awarded a first grading.
