I have completed offshore surveys in Europe (England, Scotland, Shetland Isles, Norway), the Arctic, the Middle East (U.A.E), Americas (Caribbean) and Africa (Congo, Gabon, Angola) and am well versed in the use of environmental sampling equipment (sediment and water), seabed photography systems, hydrochemistry profiling equipment and hydroacoustic monitoring arrays.Full ownership of writing reports for surveys completed by myself or a colleague. This included statistical analysis of survey data (univariate and multivariate) to identify and assess; environmental patterns in particle grain sizes and associated benthic faunal abundances; impacts of anthropogenic activity; and spatial variations of hydrocarbons and heavy and trace metals. Seabed video and photographic data also analysed to identify any areas of protected habitat or species, and to delineate sediment types for habitat mapping. This role included use of GIS software and reviewing of literature.
