• Worked at developing a web-based interface for a building energy modeling application aimed at non-professionals. • Developed and tested a geometric algorithm for generating roof geometry for the purpose of reducing the user input load.• Studied methods of using GIS data for analyzing and mitigating the urban heat island effect with the aim of producing a tool for policy makers and urban planners. • Implemented a raster based method for determining sky view factor in urban areas and validated it using hemispherical photographic methods.

• I was contracted to write a comprehensive primer, reference guide, and accompanying tutorials for the EvoluteTools software extension to Rhinoceros 3D. The EvoluteTools package is an advanced rationalization tool for supporting the design and construction complex geometries. • In addition to the writing, layout and graphic design of the primer I worked directly with the staff at Evolute to familiarize myself with the use and applications of the software.

• I took a leading role in the design phase of many large scale and high profile residential and commercial developments throughout Vietnam. • I created and took the position as Green Building Coordinator for the office and developed a relationship with the Vietnamese Green Building Council. • In this position, I organized speakers for educational lunches, started a library of local green suppliers and materials, and created new marketing materials to highlight our services to potential clients.
