Assisted in the coordination and successful implementation of a holistic community development project in partnership with a Guatemalan NGO (non-governmental organization) called CAFNIMA. Lead a multi-national, multi-lingual team in meeting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly objectives in development sectors of water, public health, education, economics and human rights awareness and representation. Specifically in the sector of water, helped design and implement five community water projects. Have achieved a Level 3 in Spanish communication and writing proficiency. Also, planning and implementing the usage of United State volunteers from organizations such as Engineers without Boards and KnoxProCorp, as they visit to assist in the project objectives. Experience working in this environment has expanded my knowledge and skills as a project and construction manager specifically in the areas of resource management, budgeting, scheduling and planning.

Coordinated the successful yearly deployment of over 700 volunteers serving all over the world. Organized logistical support for a network of 100 volunteer team leaders, developed and trained team leaders in areas of team formation, budgeting, fundraising, trip implementation and debriefing. Served as the main liaison with Lipscomb’s College of Engineering. Created an online platform for volunteer registration and an entire data management system based in Microsoft Excel and Access to handle secure information for each team member and their respective team. Experience with Lipscomb University expanded my knowledge in working with volunteers, coordinating travel all over the world and the management of each team as a “project”.

Internally promoted to continue the management of the electronic inventory system, designed micro-positioning systems, created and managed the company’s manufacturing and testing of commercial products and used skills in organization to enhance the processes and procedures to build, test, and troubleshoot commercial products. The continued experience with Dynamic Structures and Materials expanded my knowledge in engineering and the development of new processes and procedures to enhance company performance.
