My work includes: • MSD wanted to secure market access for its newly launched vaccines. Our team evaluated 5 vaccine localization deals in LMICs with a ~$220M net present value that ultimately resulted in 3 tech transfers occurring. • The Serbian government and WHO wanted to bolster the long term sustainability of Torlak Institut, the local vaccine manufacturer. I assessed and recommended high potential growth opportunities for the 80+ year old Institut that are aligned with global trends and Serbia’s plans to be a global Biotech Hub. • The Philippines government needed to determine if a yet to be implemented vaccine localization plan, was the best way to supply the country with Covid vaccines amidst global shortages. Our team quickly identified the most efficient sourcing strategy for Covid vaccines and detailed the requirements to establish a sustainable manufacturing industry. • The 8 South American countries in PROSUR wanted a manufacturing network to collectively serve them in future pandemics. I and a group of experts helped to outline what this collaboration could look like, how best to pursue it, and what would be required from each country. • In 2021, the African Union (AU) launched the Partnership for African Vaccine Manufacturing (PAVM) to progress Africa's vaccine manufacturing efforts. While with PAVM, I lead a cross-functional team to gather information from more than 20 vaccine projects needed to hone plans by AU, GAVI and UNICEF to increase the procurement of African-made vaccines.
