Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions. Remove and install and connect leads on tachometer generators, cartridge type fuel boost pumps, linear actuators, magnetic brakes, chip detectors, solenoids, and slide or gate valves. Remove and install starter and main generators. Operate aircraft towing equipment. Maintain aircraft fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. Perform troubleshooting, repair, modification, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. Service ground support equipment. Perform functional checks, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, overhaul, paint, and preservation of ground support equipment, special tools and accessories. Remove/install aircraft components and engines on test stands and engine test cells. Make appropriate logbook entries and sign-off own work accomplished. Perform aircraft functional checks including, but not limited to, aircraft and engine run up. Perform in-house calibration of common and special tools as required. Perform related record maintenance including: completing appropriate log book forms, condition tags and parts change slips in accordance with technical publications, company procedures, manuals and other written directives. Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties. Estimate materials needed. Perform touch up spot painting.
