I graduated from sergeant bluff CSD. upon graduation I began college for Computer networking. while attending the associates degree at Wit-cc I studied various things like Microsoft server, Active directory, Exchange and a few other Microsoft related products, we also studied wireless and wired networks and networking security. during network security we worked with a Linux operating system called backtrace-linux were I was exposed too Linux for a short time. during the networking phase we worked WAN's LAN's and more WiFi AP's. during my time at Witcc we learned many different aspects of computer technology but after college i experience the 2009-2010 tech crash and many places where not hiring and ultimately made a decision to go back too college and get a second associates degree in Advanced welding as that industry at the time had a massive boom in growth.during my second time at wit-cc i worked on attaining my associates in advanced welding this included GMAW (Mig), GTAW (Tig) and SMAW (stick) welding applications but i also learned some basic blue print reading, CAD and inventory estimation work during some school projects, we also as student had to learn how to operate Lathes hand tools and our OSHA 10 certification. at the welding school i learned multiple aspects of the prep work and processing that goes into blue collar work.during all my time doing these careers i was also a volunteer firefighter for my local fire department i then joined Iowa task force 1 an sUSAR team and a program start at wood-bury county emergency management working as a ARES Operator drawing from my time both in the Fire service and USAR deployments.As I continue to Grow and learn I have found my interests in Technology learning about cyber security on my own and setting up a cyber security in home lab, I have been taking course work through Coursera for a google IT certification as well as learning from online sources like Hack the box and try and hack me to learn about the evolving cyber threat and bring more knowledge too the teams I work with.
