I serve the citizens of Illinois as the Confidential Assistant to the Chairman ofthe Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. While working in an innovative, collaborative, and nimble work environment the commission works tirelessly to successfully mitigate workers’ comp. claims throughout the state.As a former Illinois State Senator-56th Legislative District, retired Police Captain, Jail Administrator, and experienced police Investigator I have honed my ability to effectively communicate, manage large projects , and achieve success in a diverse team environment. My unique professional journey includes advanced skills in a myriad of areas including, personnel and facilities management, crisis negotiation, verbal de-escalation, and a working knowledge of the intricacies of internal affairs. My body of work, spanning nearly 30 years, has cultivated a strong command presence steeped in the servitude leadership philosophy, complimented by a passion to serve others.
