I am a Junior at Oakland University, majoring in Criminal Justice with a specialty in homeland security, I also received my associates degree in general studies at Jackson college. During my time working I have developed many skills and have gained a lot of accomplishments. Working at the Washtenaw ISD has taught me a lot about myself in terms of approaching every situation different and knowing there are a lot of different ways to handle situations in an appropriate manner outside of the CRJ field, which I feel as if it could help me in a long run in the field. I am big on team work and working together with different groups to help achieve a greater goal in communities. I also currently run a non-profit sports organization to help kids in low income areas develop life skills through the game of basketball. Going into the criminal justice field I feel the skills I have learned and continue too learn moving forward will help me grow to be the best version of myself I can be in the field.
