Within Oakley and Simple Canvas Prints I assisted in a wide variety of functions and media projects. Simple Canvas Prints is a start up organization within Oakley. I worked daily on the Mimacki Printer that was utilized for printing decals and banners. Another aspect of printing within the organization was the HP Latex 360 Printer that is utilized for printing the canvas which we would stretch for Simple Canvas Prints. Simple Canvas Prints is a start up organization within Oakley. I worked daily on the Mimacki Printer that was utilized for printing decals and banners. Another aspect of printing within the organization was the HP Latex 360 Printer that is utilized for printing the canvas which we would stretch for Simple Canvas Prints. I also assisted within OSI, which was where I would migrate through the printed signs and build shelves for these signs. My main function within both organizations was to assist Oakley with sign production, creating sign templates, and I was put through an in depth course where I gained knowledge in Photoshop and Illustrator. I was also involved with FC and RINA for Oakley which was the final paperwork "check" prior to the signs actually created. I was also involved with the tactile aspect of wrapping canvas boards on a daily basis for Simple Canvas Prints and was working with the HP Latex 360 Printer as well. My skills have advanced greatly and this was a phenomenal opportunity. The aspect that I am very proud of is that I had the opportunity to take a process from its initial order and assist as I ran the creation through the course of completion from the Photoshop and Illustrator aspect – to the actual print creation – and finally the assembly of the canvas and frame for shipping. Over the last five (5) years I had the pleasure to work during my summers for the Downers Grove Park District. My responsibilities ranged from basic maintenance and groundskeeping, to more complex tasks such as repair and remediation of park district property. I also learned how to operate a wider range of equipment from small machinery to the larger pieces of construction equipment such as dump trucks and bob cat applications.

Benedictine University

During the calendar school year I assisted in maintaining the Benedictine University Building and Grounds. This was a part time position that allowed me to work within my school responsibilities, while still earning and providing for my tuition. This position encompassed a wide range of activities both interior and exterior, depending on maintenance needs and seasonal activities.
