Kristopher Lamont is a highly decorated commercial driver with over two million miles safely driven during his over-twenty-year driving career. As a seasoned, all-weather driver, Kristopher has been exposed to the elements and variables that may arise on the road and is experienced in maneuvering through them. From school buses and charter buses, to conventional 18-wheelers, Kristopher has expertise in a range of vehicles. He has traveled extensively throughout local and interstate regions across the United States and throughout Canada, hauling passengers and freight of all kinds on various terrain. Since the onset of his career in 1997, Kristopher has been learning the ins and outs of the transportation industry. In 2001, he became the Office Manager (in addition to being a Motorcoach Operator) for a local Detroit-area charter bus company called Friendly Travel Express. From there, Kristopher held the position of Safety Administrator and Safety Instructor at the Chicago terminal in one of the largest trucking firms in the United States – J.B. Hunt Transport. During his time with J.B. Hunt, Kristopher was also certified as an instructor for the Smith System Space Cushion Driving Technique. The scope of Kristopher’s knowledge of the trucking industry is extensive and he understands the importance and value of safety, along with the inner workings of different vehicles. Kristopher holds several driver safety and service awards from U.S. Xpress – 1 Year Safety/Service Award and J.B. Hunt Transport – 4 consecutive Year/Safety Service Awards. Consistency, safety, knowledge, skill and training are all characteristics that have carried Kristopher Lamont through his 20-plus-year tenure. The trucking industry has given Kristopher valuable tools that he can not only use in the trade, but that also cross over into other positions and walks of life.
