As a Family and Community Engagement Coordinator at Thompson School District, I work with diverse families and communities to connect them with the resources and relationships they need to support their children's education and well-being. I partner with various stakeholders, such as teachers, administrators, social workers, and local organizations, to facilitate communication, collaboration, and coordination of services and programs. I have over five years of experience as a Director of Operations at Acacia Learning Center, where I grew and managed a team of educators and staff, and fostered a culture of positivity and caring. I also improved the quality of care and education for the children by enhancing the teachers' quality of life, compensation, benefits, and culture in the workplace. I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Utah, which helps me understand and address the diverse needs and challenges of the families and communities I serve. I am passionate about having fun and getting messy, solving problems, and having honest and respectful conversations. My goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families by engaging and empowering them.
