CrossFit Kids Springfield is proud to offer a program specifically designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of kids and teens by following the CrossFit Kids© programming. CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is entirely and absolutely CrossFit, geared and designed for a special population. The needs of second graders and high school wrestlers differ by degree, not kind. With workouts that are scalable, CrossFit Kids can equally benefit a person who is less active or an accomplished athlete by tailoring workouts so that each participant is challenged just enough to deliver measurable results and personal athletic progress. No two workouts are the same, so kids and teens never get bored and are always excited about participating.The workouts consist of functional movements, which are exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids do -pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids Trainers. CrossFit Kids doesn’t coach them to be good at just one thing. Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Our #1 goal at CFKS is to pair fitness with fun! We want to define lifelong health and fitness habits, create a sense of community, reverse and prevent prevalent health issues, and promote fundamental life skills all while providing a safe, fun, and exciting environment for your kids and teens!
