Project MEND is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities and illness through the refurbishment, reuse and distribution of medical equipment and other assistive technology.

•Managed operational procedures, ensuring cost-effective, safe, welcoming and clean environment at each of the of four centers serving approximately 20K monthly. Actively managed 10 staff and approximately 200 volunteers ensuring delivery of excellent customer service.• Have grown the Advisory Council into a supportive and fundraising entity that launched an annual golf classic netting 25K the first year in 2016.• Provided active leadership in program design and direction as well as procurement and growth of financial and other in-kind resources (which increased from $256K in 2013 to over $580K in 2016) necessary for operations & programs.•Have doubled programming, staff, volunteer hours and facilities. Stood up 2 new state of the art flagship centers and remodeled the Airport Center. Increased numbers annually served from 132K in 2013 to the same amount at midyear 2017.•Developed, improved and maintained working relationships with US Military, city leaders, donors, and corporate community leaders. •Led planning and delivery of programs, services, and events within budgeted limits. Innovatively established new community outreach programming. Launched a Transition Program, Pathfinders that has become the premiere service of its kind in our community.•Created and executed budget, revenue, and banking transactions. Prepared, reviewed and presented financial, operational and statistical reports. Wrote grants and provided stewardship for all donors.• Established an annual signature event to Celebrate America’s Military on Post (CAMP) with sponsors for approximately 3000 participants. Executed numerous successful VIP events, Grand Openings and the Global Board of Governors first center tour in many years.

In partnership with staff, developed an annual plan for each of the programs including financial goals, objectives and calendar of activity. • Maintained accurate and complete financial records and helped ensure that the logistics and budget/timelines were met for campaigns. Supervised 5 staff•Built and and stewarded relationships with community, civic and corporate leaders, securing corporate sponsors valued at $330,000 for the gala.• Implemented the strategic direction and purpose of the Chapter. Collaborated with an outstanding team of local staff as well as national/regional staff resources to ensure the Chapter’s growth and success, discuss best practices, and share innovative ideas.

Manager, Development Family Service Association 9/03–12/12•Annually wrote 5-10 foundation grants and assisted with 2 federal and state grants, ranging from 2,000 to millions. •Worked with committees and board members on fundraising events including Bear Essentials and Festival of Lights galas ($40,000-120,000), and The Don Harris Golf Classic ($100,000) and Benevon events.•Assisted with annual fund, endowment, and planned giving efforts. •Recruited and established 17 graduate and undergraduate level programs to place intern students providing nearly 50,000 hours of program delivery and support annually valued at $676,000.•Recruited and organized over 65 corporate & community groups of 15-400 volunteers for projects raising annual average of $135,000 in cash donations.•Executed successful community events, Khakis for Kids (a citywide school uniform drive for 2000 children), Adopt a Family, (a holiday assistance program for 900 families securing over $150,000 annually), financial planning, health & literacy fairs. • Incorporated best practices, accreditation guidelines, and utilized innovative technologies to create and build a volunteer program providing 365,000 volunteer annual hours valued at $4.4 million. •Hired and supervised 4 direct reports and hundreds of volunteers/interns.•Provided leadership through an expansion of 175 to 800 staff. •Served as senior leader of the Management Cabinet, providing leadership, policy development, strategic planning and budget formation & oversight for $31 million agency. •Adapted SAGE donor software to meet fundraising and volunteer management needs.•Provided oversight and development of website and social media, and created marketing materials.•Represented the organization in public and with the media whenever needed.•Established and coordinated committee of young professionals for fundraising and board development.

As a Coordinator managed the delivery of services for thousands to become the largest Families and Schools Together (FAST) program in the nation. Was responsible for developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with funding entities, school districts, elementary schools, childcare centers, and the National FAST organization.

Implemented a program for at-risk children and their families, by collaborating with team members at elementary schools and child care centers throughout the community.
