from a nursing background with fifteen years clinical experience in various settings, I have been successful in attaining a wide variety of highly developed clinical acumen aswell as strong personable attributes. I am experienced in counselling and have over five years experience in mental health nursing aswell as early psychosis intervention in both clinical and community settings. More recently I worked as a child and family health nurse after studying the masters in child and family health through karitane. This involved facilitating baby clinics, attend to universal home visits and lead parenting groups to new parents on a daily basis. To further my skills I completed the advanced breast feeding course and after a thousand clinical hours I applied to sit the exam which I was successful in passing. I currently am in private practise as a lactation consultant and enjoy the autonomy of my work and hearing the relief from families I work with is extremely fulfilling.
