After being at Specialized for a year I was promoted to Retail Project Manager which entails the building and maintenance of the stores (30 in South Africa). This role really allowed me to hone my people skills and people management. From store owners, to site mangers, to service departments, you are dealing with every type of personality at every level of management and you learn very quickly how to get the best out of each party. When there are so many balls in the air the teams need to work seamlessly in order to achieve the deadline.Role breakdown:- Design and layout of store (work with an Architect)- Project managing build of store from Brand side (choice of flooring, furnishing etc)- Manufacturing and ordering of display fixtures- Merchandising - In-store branding/imagery- Store launches/press releases- Photography and videography- In-store campaigns- Teaching store staff merchandisings- Product signage- Design and manufacturing of new fixtures

While at Performance Brands I worked on both First Ascent and Capestorm. Initially I was brought in to assist with the rebranding of Capestorm, but once we had that ball rolling I was allowed to spread my wings a bit and assisted with a new look for some of the First Ascent design work.Role breakdown:- Packaging design and production- Brand new E-commerce Website design and backend management- Social media planning and content design- Print Advertising- In-store merchandising displays for Sportsmens Warehouse- Expo stand design- Cycling jersey, T-shirt and buff prints

While working at RAP my main client was Whitehouse and I was the senior creative on the rebranding of Whitehouse. This was an amazing opportunity for me as a creative to be involved in every step of creating the new Whitehouse Identity. From mission statement to tone of voice to visual look and feel. I also developed my presentation skill as I presented every creative step to the client. The project was very successful and I was then asked to fly to Poland and assist Pepco on some of their retail stores. They were looking for guidance on store layout as well as the design and development of some in-store brands.Role breakdown:- New Brand Positioning- New Print advertising- New Package design- Photography for in-store signage- In-store layout/branding- Copy writing
