There is never a dull moment in real estate! Not only are you part of a person’s biggest transaction - their home, but the skills you acquire set you up for life. Over the two decades of being in real estate the life traits you learn are invaluable, whether it's adapting to different personalities, negotiating, problem-solving, money, budgeting or simply the tricky computer skills from mail merge, to excel, photoshop, Canva etc. I particularly love the design and marketing aspect; understanding what sells/leases, works in a room visually and texturally, especially for the camera, to being true to the building, architecture, eras, period, colours, light, aspect, contrasts - the list goes on. Combine those with the problem solving (and fire extinguishing) in property management from managing mould, to plumbing, electrical, fences, and of course the legalities, laws, and compliance - completes the lifelong package. Being in real estate is hard work, stressful at times, but reaps the rewards. Particularly when you get that smile from the family that just moved into their dream home and are loving every minute, thanking you for making it possible.
