In 2024, I hosted the Book Builders Challenge (pilot) at East Victoria Park Primary School, engaging year four, five and six students in weekly workshops with esteemed authors and illustrators Kylie Howarth, Sasha Wasley (aka Ash Harrier), Kathryn Lefroy, Alison Mutton, Gabriel Evans, plus more, and with stories judged by Nat Amoore, James Foley and Kylie Howarth.I'm a Junior Fiction author who independently publishes works that have received recognition including a shortlisting for the 2023 West Australian Young Readers’ Book Award and placements in the Children and Young Adult Aspiring Authors Competition. My passion for storytelling extends to my work as a seasoned teaching artist, where I conduct workshops in creative writing and film making in libraries, schools and communities.I was thrilled to be part of the 2024 Path to Published mentorship with Sasha Wasley and the SEW Arts teaching artists pilot training program.
