Supported collaborative research with policy makers, health care and social service practitioners and community members to address multiple determinants of health for the promotion of healthy communities. Research support included reviewing literature, funding applications, and ethics applications. Administrative support included note-taking in community meetings and organizing an symposium. Creative support included creating promotional and workshop materials and website design.

Chaired an initiative to help make Nanaimo more accessible and inclusive for those with disabilities (i.e., physical, auditory, visual or related to aging) by educating, informing and sensitizing local government, the business community, and the public about the issues of accessibility and inclusion.

Supported the work of the Lab by coding behavioural data, analyzing quantitative data, and preparing research posters, and presenting academic research at an international conference.

Coordinated a province-wide evaluation of a clinical intervention for family members of individuals with dementia. Ensured reliable data collection from registration to post-intervention follow-up and data management procedures. Assisted in developing participant recruitment strategy. Collaboratively wrote report to funding body and developed conference presentations.

Supported the research of the Lab by conducting literature reviews, assisting on ethics applications, analyzing qualitative data, and discussing recent research.
