Amplify impact by identifying and making catalytic connections within the state and nationally, pitching the Foundation as an ideal partner and working with staff to actualize opportunities. Broadened and deepened Foundation’s reach and status as a leading voice on health equity through community engagement initiatives, cross-sector strategies, and participation in local and national networks.

Set vision and managed team responsible for strategy, evaluation, research, and learning functions. Facilitated all strategy development efforts, coordinating staff, outside expertise, community input, and research and data to identify and develop multi-million-dollar, multi-year initiatives. Designed and implemented racial equity, socio-economic vulnerability, and geographic/cultural frameworks to ensure culturally responsive design for diverse audiences.

Implemented strategic realignment of organizational structures and processes following major strategy change. Spearheaded the development of an employee handbook and revised performance management system. Provided HR support on interim basis. Coordinated programmatic budgeting and designed/led annual board retreat.

Developed investment strategies focused on integrating primary, behavioral, and oral health care, creating seamless health care delivery for low-income urban and rural populations. Working closely with health and social service leaders, led Foundation’s $2M community mental health initiative in response to May 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri.

Launched and managed program designed to increase federal funding in support of health and prevention services in Missouri. Contributed to development of over 60 federal grant applications resulting in over $20M in new funding for health and prevention services.

Provided fiscal oversight and managed activities of St Louis County’s response to the H1N1 pandemic.

Established programmatic aspects of strategic alliance with MedicAlert Foundation and led planning, launch, and ongoing operations of the resulting 160,000-member program. Led national partnerships with law enforcement and emergency response organizations to advocate for proper interaction and care for people with dementia. Oversaw design and implementation of education programs, managing consultants and advisory groups responsible for developing content. Served as liaison to 80-chapter network, assisting in state and local program expansion. Led annual national conference for professional care providers.
