MBS Environmental was established in November 2002 and took over Martinick McNulty Pty Ltd. I am a founding director of MBS Environmental and since July 2014 have taken on the Managing Directors role. I continue to have a strong role in the technical work the MBS team does as well as leading the managment of the business.MBS Environmental is a Perth based environmental consultancy providing a wide range of environmental consultancy services to the resource industry in Australia and internationally. We provide world class, effective environmental and geoscience services to clients to assit them achieve thier business objectives in a manner that provides real value and peace of mind. We have established long term relationships with a large number of our clients and strongly value these.

I joined Martinick McNulty after being retrenched by Rio Tinto. My major project was to prepare an Environmental Effects Statement and gain regulatory approvals for the Basin Mineral Sands Project in Western Australia. This included managing a range of baseline surveys undertaken by specialist consultants, preparing aspect specific management plans and participating in stakeholder consultation. The project was subsequently purchased by Iluka Resources and has been implemented.I also provided environmental support to a number of sand quarrying projects in South West WA ranging from writing approval documents, conducting monitoring, planning and supervising rehabilitation works and liasising with regulators.

After completion of the secondment at IOCC, I was transferred back to Australia. I returned briefly to Northparkes Mines before moving to the Exploration team at Robe River Mining prior to the take over of North Ltd being completed by Rio Tinto.With the Exploration team I was responsible for implementation of the ESH Management System, compliance with regulatory requirements, supervision of land clearing activities, exploration site inspections, rehabilitation works and corporate reporting. This took me to exploration sites in and around Pannawonica through to the West Angela's.

I was secconded from Northparkes Mines to IOCC. My role was to develop and integrate an environmental management system into an existing OHS Loss Control System. The integrated system was for the iron ore mining and ore processing facility in Labrador as well as the railway transport and product export terminal in Quebec. The system was required to operate in both English and French speaking provinces. The role was expanded after the intial year to lead the system implmentation across the company. Key to this was development and implementation of an employee ESH awareness training program. This was delevired using both unionised and staff employees in two languages in multiple locations to over 3000 employees.

My role was an Environemtnal Scientist within a 3 person environmental and community relations team. The role required me to undertake environmental monitoring (air quality, noise, groundwater, surface water), prepare environmental reports for internal and external stakehodlers, liaise with various regulators, provide technical advice to operations personnel, undertake community consultation, participate in eductional and community activities, undertake rehabilitation planning and implementation and provide environmental compliance managment support to the mangment team.
