Until Nov. 2019, I was the Global Marketing Director at ViewRanger, a pioneer in mobile and augmented reality technology based in Cambridge, UK. I directed marketing strategy and growth, helped launch a new subscription business model, and remotely collaborated with teams in UK, Germany, Italy and Ukraine. My work helped turn the business profitable, boosted active subscribers, and increased business relationships—all which led to an acquisition by Outdooractive. Before ViewRanger, I was a marketing director at Trimble where I managed the launch and marketing strategies for B2B and B2C products. Our team launched several mobile apps, built out e-comm and SaaS platforms, prototyped retail products, and forged partnerships with companies like ATT.In 2006, I founded Adventure Anywhere, a startup that collected location-based content, optimized it for websites, smartphones, and GPS units, and then sold the curated map and GPS-enabled content to publishing and technology companies. Adventure Anywhere grew fast, and the company was acquired into Active Interest Media in Fall 2007 where I led a multimedia team until Spring 2010.I’ve held managing editor jobs at Rodale (now part of Hearst), where I blueprinted the content strategy for backpacker.com and bicycling.com. I've tested gear and written stories for several publications, including Backpacker, Bicycling and Wired.
