As a part of the Business Development team for Asian markets at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, my project essentially involved analysis of Glenmark's portfolio to determine its needs as well as scrutiny of various other portfolios to understand any in-licensing requirements. Thereafter, I was required to propose/recommend ways & means to expand the Asian portfolio in the most effective manner. From extensive number crunching to communicating business models & deep diving into "what we really want", I was fortunate enough to have experienced it all at Glenmark: A great place to start. :)

My one month technical training program was designed to allow students to gain hands on experience in drug discovery & research. Right from basic processes like dispensing & granulation to tablet coating & packaging, we were fortunate enough to have done it all. Extremely knowledgeable senior management & SOP driven working atmosphere. We also worked on some novel drug delivery approaches: Truly a value adding experience :)
