My name is Karley. I'm a 2017 graduate from Boise State University with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Psychology. I really like organizing, psychology, learning, plants, coloring, cats, and tennis. I currently have 2 years of Case Management experience and 10 months of CBRS experience. My passion really lies in assisting my clients with meeting their most basic needs; food, shelter, clothing, insurance, housing, etc. I'm always looking to meet and converse with community partners so we can find ways to provide solutions and assistance for our clients. I am the former Ada Co Substance Abuse case manager where I assisted with launching Case Management for Ada Co Treatment Courts to ensure all of the specialty treatment courts were provided with a case manager. That tool is invaluable to our clients and our community. I've recently taken on a full-time position back with Trivium as a Mental Health Court Case Manager.Advocating for my clients, their needs, and their successes is a focal point for me. I look forward to assisting our clients with sobriety, mental health, and a second chance in life. I value my clients and work to meet them exactly where they are. I've seen the positive impact advocacy and specialty courts have had on our clients. The program is essential for the community.I have also prior taken on the role of crisis case management with our partner, St Alphonsus, through a grant called the Warm Hand Off Grant. There, I would meet with clients who were in the Emergency Room and assist them with treatment options and a system of support. I was there when they were at a low point to provide a warm hand off from the hospital to the community. I would coordinate with the social workers there and so many other community partners to provide our client with a service that could really change the course of their lives. I am CPI and was CANS certified. I am also SOAR trained.I have 3 years of experience with the Department of Homeland Security where I worked with a multi level agency on counter terrorism and safety for our transportation system to ensure the freedom of movement for people and commerce. Serving my country in this role was a great pleasure.
