Oversee the daily operations of Eppley Airfield and provide administrative coverage for Millard Airport.Emphasis on compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Airport’s Certification Manual, and Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circulars.Liaison with airport tenants, contractors, the Federal Aviation Administration and the public. Participate in daily inspections of airport facilities including the airfield (pavement/lighting/signage/markings) and airport terminal/concourses. Collected and disseminated information for the enhancement of safety, security and public convenience at Eppley AirfieldCoordinated with County, State and Federal agencies during disaster emergencies, notifications, security monitoring, NOTAM issuing, communication to OAA employees, outside agencies, and the public. AVN 3090 - Airport Administration and Planning: Introduced students to the nation's airspace design, navigation and air traffic systems and their effect on airport capacity. Provided background and information on the U.S. airport system, with emphasis on airport design and development parameters, fiscal processes, and management considerations. Analyzed aircraft characteristics and operations as they relate to airport planning and design. Provided instruction on how to conduct a demand forecasts, systematically assess alternatives for airport site selection, and design an airfield appropriate for the relevant aircraft, operators, and demand for capacity.
