Provided background and information on the U.S. airport system, with emphasis on airport design and development parameters, fiscal processes, and management considerations. Analyzed aircraft characteristics and operations as they relate to airport planning and design. Provided instruction on how to conduct a demand forecasts, systematically assess alternatives for airport site selection, and design an airfield appropriate for the relevant aircraft, operators, and demand for capacity.
