MCHS Family of Services is a complex, multi-service non-profit agency that provides child welfare, housing, education, residential treatment, and community based services for children, families, and adults throughout Michigan. Leadership and oversight of:• Development of new programs and contracts related to transitional living, transitional housing, senior services, unaccompanied children, runaway and homeless youth, and community based programs;• Expansion from one location to six different locations throughout Michigan;• Oversight of operating budget that has increased 345%;• Oversight of Endowment with assets in excess of $100 million;• The development and creation of charter school, including design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art $8.5 million education center; • Three major capital improvements projects, fully funded;• Program expansion from serving several hundred youth annually to serving several thousand annually;• MCHS to become first restraint free, trauma-informed residential treatment center throughout the Midwest;• Continuous quality improvement programs as well as other best practices related to operations and governance, such as annual evaluations, board manuals, succession planning, policies and procedures; risk management, health and safety, etc.; • Racial Equity and Anti-racism Initiatives at the local, state, and national level; • Leadership and engagement with several state and national organizations; and• Ongoing, active advocacy and public policy engagement for improved services and outcomes for young people and their families.

Whaley Children's Center serves resilient youth, teaching them how to succeed as individuals and providing them with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that serves abused and neglected children throughout Michigan transforms lives and creates futures. Whaley Children's Center provides comprehensive residential care, clinical services, educational programs, mentoring, life skills, case management, and aftercare support to children in foster care.Team Accomplishments:• Grew operating budget by 52% in 2010 from $3.4 million to $5.2 million operating budget for FY2015; • Secured highest accreditation through CARF International; • Overall assets grew from $6.67 million at the end of FY2010 to $13.83 million by June of 2015;• Secured an additional $3.25 million in commitments for Agency’s endowment in final year;• Development and implementation of 2012-2014 Strategic Plan and subsequent Plans;• Oversight and leadership of fund development, which included a 35% increase in annual giving and a 75% increase in special events within two years. • Developed and raised additional monies for capital improvements, which include renovations to 4 group homes, cafeteria, and family game room;• Oversight and leadership of new evidence based treatment model for residential and clinical departments;• Oversaw implementation of comprehensive child abuse prevention public awareness program;• Development and implementation of new programs including mentoring, tutoring, summer school, healthy living, and gardening;• Increased agency capacity by 14 percent to 48 beds; and• Active community spokesperson and communication liaison to government entities, funders, associations, and community partners.

South Oakland Shelter (SOS) has a mission to provide services which sustain solutions toward ending homelessness. SOS provides emergency shelter, case management, rental and utility assistance, and affordable housing to men, women, and children in southeast Michigan.

Through an array of comprehensive services, Youth Connections provides dynamic programs and services that promote family support and positive youth development. Programs and services revolve around at-risk youth and families, both court ordered and voluntarily, to help youth reach their full potential.
