Established in November 2021 Innovative Product Development Unit (IPDU) consists of a team that synthesizes hard and soft sciences.It provides services for those who are interested into creating new products or improving existing ones.Consultations, critical review/validation, creative and technical strategy, research and development, non-recurring engineering, rapid prototyping and production (proof of concept, minimum viable products, small-lot production), design for manufacture and assembly (large-scale production).My actual responsibility was a mixture of serving as head of the unit, driving change management, establishing commercial and finance direction, pricing strategy, starting up marketing, doing all HRM, introducing methodologies and principles (systems, processes, operations, a.o.) in a public sector/governmental organization. Serving as project lead and engineer in some projects along the way. Together with the team I have set meaning, values, vision in the first strategy of the newly established unit, defined products and targets, no-nonsense starter pack of KPIs and activities, established markup pricing methodologies, technical and IT workflows, taken up challenge in creating pathways for collaborations within RTU, pushing for advancements, sharing my knowledge in engineering, design for manufacture and assembly, and other usual suspects, while working under the tight set of rules & opportunities.Managing a team consisting of- Industrial designers- Mechanical engineers- Mechatronics/robotics engineers- Electronics engineers- CAM & CNC engineers- Project managers and administrators
