In my professional life, I am passionate about developmentally supporting undergraduate students to achieve their goals. I first discovered this interest during my own undergraduate student experience - I wanted to know how I could become the encouraging and supportive role my own supervisors and advisors were to me. My experience in the Student Affairs in Higher Education Master’s Program at Miami University solidified this interest. I am fortunate I have the opportunity to enact this passion on a daily basis in my current role in the Office of Career Management. Currently, I provide individualized career consultation to the 7500+ undergraduate business student population at the Fisher College of Business. I support students through all aspects of the career development cycle, from solidifying job search materials, to preparing for interviews, to evaluating and negotiating offers. While managing a team of ten full-time and part-time student employees, I lead all efforts and programming pertaining to consulting careers for undergraduate business students. Throughout my time in higher education, I have specialized in one-on-one coaching, job search preparation materials, team management, training, case interview preparation, career exploration, project management, and teaching and presenting. In my personal time, I have had the opportunity to volunteer with additional higher education related organizations in various capacities, including my roles as Admission Ambassador for my alma mater, Denison University, Advisory Board Chairman for the Alpha Gamma chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta, and Secretary for the Kappa Alpha Theta Columbus Alumnae Chapter. I also enjoy attending fitness classes and training for running races, reading fiction, learning how to use my DSLR camera, practicing calligraphy and graphic design, teaching myself how to cross-stitch, traveling around the country and globe, and spending time with my family and friends in my free time. I am a firm believer that one learns just as much outside of the classroom as they do in it!
