Payroll Manager
CurrentEnsure that all staff, faculty, and student employees are paid timely and accurately while adhering to all Federal, State, SUNY, and campus policies. Execution of compensation guidelines set forth by existing labor contracts (CSEA, UUP, PEF, APSU/PBANYS, M/C, NYSCOPBA, and GSEU). Responsible for processing of hires, terminations, promotions, retirement enrollments, over payment recovery, check returns/exchanges, cash advances, back pay, extra service and additional pay transactions, discretionary payments, balance of contracts, W2 reprints and corrections, employment verification, and deficit reduction adjustments for the Administrative Payroll (1200+ employees). Oversight and support for subordinates with responsibilities for the Classified, Student Assistant, and Work Study Payrolls. Creation and submission of departmental annual report and assessment plans. Management of departmental budget and employee performance programs. Participation in annual/semi-annual labor statistics and other such reporting to the NYS Department of Labor (DOL). Review and respond to unemployment requests and determinations from DOL. Assist with processing of non-resident alien I-9 forms. Continue to provide supporting documentation for College Affirmative Action Plan. Held membership on the following committees: Web Advisory Group, College Enhancement Committee, and TK20 Assessment Group.
