With over eight years of experience in the field of national security and foreign policy, I have developed a deep understanding of the complex and dynamic challenges and opportunities facing the global technology sector and its stakeholders.Before joining Akin Gump in June 2022, I served in the National Security Council as the Director of Nonproliferation and Strategic Trade, where I coordinated the U.S. government's export control policies for defense and dual-use technologies. I also worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department of State's Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, where I focused on strategic export controls relating to Wassenaar dual-use and munitions items. I am a retired Army veteran with combat tours in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I hold a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California and a MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
