SIWI focuses on research and development to assist decision-makers in addressing challenges to the water-crisis through cooperation and governance. SIWI plays host to the annual prestigious World Water Week, which convenes stakeholders from around the world to address global water issues. As a Junior Rapporteur, my role was to actively engage in conference sessions and workshops and to develop insight into the topics which was then, in collaboration with an international cohort of peers, used to synthesize conference reports on governance, green and grey infrastructure, source to sea concepts, valuing ecosystem services and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Camp Ooch is a privately funded nonprofit pediatric oncology camp that enables every child, no matter how debilitating their illness, an opportunity to explore enriching, challenging, fun experiences through free year-round programming. As the Head of Adventure at Camp Ooch, my role was to lead a team of staff and volunteers in delivering a tailored and adaptive team development and high ropes program. This included overseeing risk management, inspections, and maintenance of 4 different high-ropes climbing facilities as well as providing appropriate training and supervision where needed.

The UNU-INWEH is part of an international consortium of UN think tanks with a directive to develop leading research and policy on issues related to water, environment, climate change and sustainable development.As a Research Consultant, my role was to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goal program by developing a research methodology to investigate linkages between the Sustainable Development Goals and Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction indicators. I utilized expert consultations, data analysis, and network mapping to determine synergies and tradeoffs between 250 complex combinations of policy targets. The output of this analysis was utilized to generate policy briefs tailored to highlight efficiencies in policymaking through effective visuals and knowledge translation.

The Canadian Trails Federation is a collaborative network of national trails organizations that collaborate on trail policy and development issues throughout Canada. These organizations include stakeholders from the ATV, off-road, equine, biking and hiking industries.As the Conference Coordinator, I assisted in developing a strong foundation for the inaugural three-day natonal conference which effectively facilitated CTFs mission to bring together key stakeholders and decision-makers in the trail policy and development sector. In this role, I oversaw the coordination of all logistical aspects of the conference and the development of a strong media and promotional campaign.

McMaster University's Outdoor Recreation program strives to develop and deliver outdoor education, recreation, and environmental programming. This includes wilderness expeditions, classroom workshops, high-ropes activities, and stewardship events.As the Project Coordinator, I oversaw several project areas and ensured timely and effective implementation of program directives within these projects. • Coordinated the delivery of outdoor education and recreation programming to over 500 university and high school students, inner-city youth, and alternative education classes annually• Initiated partnerships with community stakeholders to develop and implement novel recreation and environmental programming • Oversaw risk management and leadership development of the outdoor tripping program to ensure compliance with university risk management protocols and safe delivery of program areas• Managed project budgets, as well as grant applications and funding allocation to projects areas

McMaster University's Presidents Advisory Committee on Natural Lands is a collaborative of deans, professors, and student leaders tasked in addressing the University's role in the local environment and ensuring the conservation of University natural lands through education, outreach, and engagement. As the Program Coordinator, I implemented the directives of the advisory committee and provided policy and program feedback through the development of novel initiatives and partnerships.• Collaborated with regional environmental NGO’s to implement conservation programming including green infrastructure development, protection of local water sources, restoration of natural lands, and environmental education workshops that were delivered to 600 university students and community members annually • Directed a multi-year promotional campaign, Nature at McMaster, that included the development of an interactive website (https://nature.mcmaster.ca), promotional videos, print materials, and outreach programs to engage youth in active outdoor recreation and environmental conservation• Liaised between the University, regional environmental NGOs and the City of Hamilton to mediate concerns regarding the care of natural lands and promote collaboration • Oversaw and managed annual program budgets• Recruited and supervised a modular community of volunteers, staff, and research interns in the delivery of environmental programming and sustainability research

The UNU-INWEH is part of an international consortium of UN think tanks with a directive to develop leading research and policy on issues related to water, environment, climate change and sustainable development. As a Masters Research Assistant, I developed a toolkit component on disaster risk reduction for the multi-national Evidence-Based Policy and Planning toolkit on SDG 6 Water and Sanitation used by 5 international government partners in tracking the progress of SDG 6 implementation. I also assisted in stakeholder consultation meetings with international partners and the composition of minutes and correspondences for the national project inception workshops.

The Hamilton Burlington Trails Council serves as a trail alliance in developing and communicating a first-class trail system in the Hamilton Burlington region, which promotes the health benefits of recreational trail use to residents and visitors while conserving our valuable natural ecosystems.As an Administrative and Project Coordinator, I assisted in implementing projects for the council that helped develop and expand the regions trail network. In this role, I • Handled administrative duties for the council, facilitated weekly and monthly meetings and took detailed minuted. • Assisted in the development and oversight of community surveys delivered to 1000+ community members and delivered educational outreach programs. • Coordinated the design and implementation of informational and route signage for the Trans Canada Trail in the Hamilton area.
