Worked for a city supported project called ‘Ahmedabad Bus Rapid Transit system’. A project which when conceived was the first of its kind in the country for high speed mass public transport. During the conception and research stage, when the technical study and feasibility was being carried out, I was involved with the project for co-ordination for surveys and analysis of the data like land use surveys of land along the proposed corridor for BRTS, the surveys of use of modes for various transits including orign - destination surveys, the survey and analysis of traffic counts at various junctions, the bus operators inputs with respect to feasibility. This was a crucial exercise for selection of bus route.The detailed analysis of each of the data was carried out which was an important part of feasibility of BRTS project in Ahmedabad.
