About Krys A.
I don't work in a specific "Industry". Clerical work is done in all industries, and that is what I love most, clerical work. I have worked since I was 18 and this is the first time I have not had a "mainstream" job. I worked in an office setting for over 17 years, I worked in a retail setting for around 10 years, sometimes both at the same time (many years I have worked more than one job at a time).

House Manager (Homemaker)
Manage everyday house duties, take care of pets, children, husband, cook, etc. Went into this position because my son was always so sick. He was sick so often when he was a baby that I had to take so much leave without pay, and yet pay daycare when he wasn't there, that I couldn't afford to work anymore! Since I have worked my whole life, making this decision was extremely difficult for me. I love that I have gotten to see my son and daughter grow over the last few years, but my son will get to go to kindergarten this year and I am ready to see what opportunities are out there! My daughter is adhd and needs a lot of assistance with homework and daily duties, so I am wary about having a job that keeps me out until dinnertime. I am hoping to find something that I can do while the children are at school, and then be home in time to assist them both with homework and whatever else they have. My children and family is my number one priority.
Administrative Coordinator 4
As the program grew, the job title changed because there was less enforcement aspects and more administration duties. All employees hired on after the program began, were hired as clerical positions but mine was kept as enforcement until it was realized that this would not be the main duty of the position. This was a clerical position that included many job requirements and duties. Responsible for answering all phone calls from consumers and businesses, answering any questions they had regarding the Louisiana Do Not Call laws, and helping them understand the laws and statutes. Helping companies work within the Louisiana Do Not Call laws to ensure they were not in violation. Processing applications for businesses applying for access to the do not call list, sending out acceptance/deny letters, and sending out the Louisiana Do Not Call list to said companies on CD or email. Processing complaints from consumers on the list, investigating the complaints, which included working with telephone companies, VOIP, and internet companies (issuing subpoena duces tecum) to research phone calls made that were possible violations of the Louisiana Do Not Call laws. Writing and sending letters to consumers and businesses regarding any correspondence. Working within many programs, including Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc, logging in information and updating when necessary. I also had many other clerical duties, such as filing, copying, faxing, and scanning. I left the Commission after having my son and he was sick so often. It was a hard decision but in the end was the most important for my family, so I left to stay home with my son until he becomes school age.
Enforcement Officer
Helping with the beginnings of the Louisiana Do Not Call Program. This job was mainly clerical at the beginning and was supposed to become more of an enforcement position once the program was stable and "off the ground". Worked closely with Directors and other employees of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, to draw up letters, applications, complaint forms, Subpoenas, and any other ideas or items that would benefit the program. Once the program went into effect I was in charge of all of the aspects of the program until a program director was finally hired after 7 months into the program. I was in charge of training all employees regarding everything in this program. I issued Subpoenas and also worked with Docketing in order to schedule hearings. This also included all normal areas of clerical work; such as, filing, mailing, copying, faxing, and scanning.
Enforcement Officer
The enforcement officer positions of the LPSC were all regarding transportation (Inter and Intra) and were based on for hire transportation. I worked closely with directors within the LPSC and with wrecker companies to implement the program for Non-Consensual Tows. I processed all applications regarding the towing, wrote letters, processed certificates, set up all court appearances, etc. Also with this position I would go to various scale locations to inspect paperwork, issue citations, and collect fines. In the office I also issued certificates for Intrastate (Towing, Passenger, etc.) companies, set up dockets for court appearances, attended court, and also had many clerical responsibilities such as filing, letters, etc. I left this job in order to start the Louisiana Do Not Call Program, which had just passed into law and was given to the LPSC to enforce.
Insurance Clerk
Processing insurance forms and cancellations for transportation companies. Sending letters of cancellation and reinstatement to insured. Answering and routing phone calls to correct people, working with insurance companies to make sure insurance forms on file are correct and up to date. Working within a transportation insurance program to log in information to computer. Also processed items for other sections if they needed assistance. All aspects of clerical work such as filing, letters, phones, and much more. Left this position in order to work as an enforcement agent for the same division.
