MGH Visiting offers a one-of-a-kind Visiting program that allows our faculty and fellows the opportunity to work for your health care facility. We align your need with our own faculty’s availability. In my role as Business Development Manager, I am responsible for managing new business and the contracting process for new assignments and placements for MGH Visiting.

Develop guidelines for programming and treatment planning and development, and assure staff compliance with ACJS and OCC policies and proceduresWork in conjunction with staff from Lawrence District court to develop, implement and co-facilitate Motherhood Group, a twelve-week support and skill-building program aimed at mothers who are involved in the legal/probation systemConduct brief crisis intervention assessments for participants in need, working diligently to screen and refer to appropriate community-based mental health services in a timely fashionWork with Essex County Sheriff’s Department staff to identify current pre-trial detainees and jail-based detox clients who would be appropriate for the community-based level of careWork with individual clients to facilitate referrals to appropriate community-based mental health treatment facilities, housing assistance agencies, and food/clothing assistance agencies, as well as assisting in the referral process to detoxification, residential treatment, and halfway/sober house programsProvide weekly documented supervision for staff consisting of three Substance Abuse Clinicians and one GED Educator and one Job Developer to assure proper services are being provided and to promote staff developmentServe as liaison between the Center and the Drug Court at Lawrence District Court, participating in weekly team sessions with the presiding Judge, Probation Department staff, Court Clinician, Assistant District Attorney, defense counsel and outside treatment vendorsAssist ACJS, Essex County Sheriff Department and Office of Community Corrections staff in compiling monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports

Provide a therapeutic counseling environment for patients in a locked residential settingCommunicate with a multidisciplinary team of doctors and social workers to assist in securing aftercare for patients in a variety of services, including residential and partial hospitalization programs, as well as continuing care in hospital settings and group homes Observe and document individual patient mental status and progress notes on a daily basisAdhere to high safety standards in dealing with individual patients and the unit as a wholeConduct individual patient assessments by conducting face-to-face interviews and evaluations
