As a student advocate I work within the Office of Student Success, supporting students though barriers that may prevent them from preforming their best academically. Connecting students with resources, university supports, and community supports. As a BSW student I maintained a 3.5 average. Consistently made the Chancellor's list. Fulfilled a yearlong practicum at Centerville Abington Schools working alongside the school social worker, with students from kindergarten to eighth grade. I earned Bachelor Social Work Student of the Year upon graduation in 2020.At IVY TECH when obtaining an Associates in Human Services I helped launch the Ivy CARES program. This program links students with the needed resources to help them overcome obstacles that may be preventing them from obtaining their degree. Intern students help maintain stock of soap pantry, goodwill vouchers, gas cards, and keep track of student paperwork. First year interns helped spread information about the program though fliers, class presentations, and testimonials.
