After graduating from Trinitas School of Nursing in the Spring of 2017, I began my search for employment. My career commenced with Hackensack Meridian Health, and I began as a Registered Nurse on a long term care unit for approx. 1 year. During this time, I was taking care of resident's of the facility, who struggled with Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease. I was also a preceptor for new nursing hires. Orienting new nurses was a great responsibility, which I absolutely love. After this year, I was promoted to a sub-acute rehab unit. During this time, I cared for patient's who were post surgical, and receiving rehab services to strengthen their ability to perform their activities of daily living (ADL's) to return back to previous functioning, and return back to their home. During this time a position became available in the MDS department, and I was offered the position. After already experiencing approx. 2 years of bedside nursing, I decided that it was time for a new challenge, and I was ready to transition to a data based department.
