I have 10 years of experience in child and adult ESL/EFL education. My aim as an ESL instructor is that students would gain communicative competence in English through a combination of active learning, direct instruction, critical thinking, repetition, and meaningful practice of learning objectives within real-life contexts. Furthermore, after having spent extended periods of my life living, studying, and teaching abroad, I have come to know how important it is for language learners from various backgrounds to feel welcome and valued in the classroom. Therefore, I always strive to create an enjoyable, safe, and supportive learning environment.
