Department of the Army 1/25th Stryker Brigade Combat Team Fort Wainwright, AlaskaIT Specialist (Network/Sysadmin) Nov 2010 to Nov 2013 Performed as a Telecommunications control Officer (TCO) providing support for 100+ users.  Responsibilities include creating a Standard Operating Procedure for proper use of all Blackberries used on the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), troubleshooting and resolving over 1,00 trouble tickets, setting up Enterprise email for all users, and issuing roughly 300+ Blackberry phones.  Installed, operated, and performed unit maintenance on multi functional/multi user information processing systems, peripheral equipment and auxiliary devices.  Performed input/output data control and bulk data storage operations.  Transferred data between information processing equipment and systems. Performed Battlefield Information Services (BIS) consisting of printing services, publication management, files, form management, reproduction services, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)/Privacy ACT (PA), unit distribution/official mail, correspondence management and classified document control.

Department of the Army Deployment to AfghanistanIT Specialist (Network/Sysadmin) April 2011 to Dec 2011 Served as an IT Specialist for the Network Operations team in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Ensured reliability and high availability to meet mission and enterprise requirements on segregated enclaves.  Troubleshot automation equipment and systems to the degree required for isolation of malfunctions to specific hardware or software.  Responsibilities included administration and troubleshooting of several hundred Cisco routers and switches in multiple geographically separated data centers while providing email and domain services to more than 30,00+ users on three segregated enclaves.  Developed, implemented, tested, and modified unique computer programs and network device configuration items pertaining to network infrastructure operations, maintenance, defense, and management.  Implemented various network device configuration script languages (including but not limited to Cisco Systems Internetwork Operating System [IOS] and Juniper Networks JUNOS/SCREENOS).
