To Identify and train the next generation of leaders in the international diabetes communityand to empower young people to take responsibility within their IDF Member Associationsand their communities.3. To empower and educate young people to conduct projects in their IDF MemberAssociations to improve the lives of young people affected by diabetes worldwide.

Blueprint Barbados is the official Youth Arm for the Diabetes Association of Barbados. We are a group of young people, both with and without diabetes, striving for change in Barbados.MissionTo support youth with diabetes and to promote awareness about the diabetes epidemic in Barbados and by extension the Caribbean.

Health of the Nation and SALT Studies

• Designed the first ever environmentally-friendly Mobile Learning Centre to be built in the Caribbean. • Developed 8 primary school curriculum focused on Climate Change. • Responsible for coordinating all development, fit out and implementation phases of the Mobile Learning Centre which will be implemented into all the primary schools of Barbados by the end of 2011.

• Assisted in the Barbados Cane Industry Reconstructing Project.• Created maps and conducted Environmental and Social Impact Assessments with Dr. Hugh Sealy.• Created a brochure which was distributed by the Ministry of Environment. This brochure was to inform the public about the new Ethanol Project and construction of a new Ethanol Plant, St. George.• Assisted in communication between Mahy.Ridley.Hazzard and AMEC Earth and Environmental in Canada. • Helped put together an Open House for the nearby residents of the new Ethanol Plant.
