I am currently a junior at Coastal Carolina University, majoring in English. I have two references from previous journalism work: The Loris Scene Newspaper and The North Myrtle Beach Newspaper. I was an intern writer for both newspapers (The Scene during my junior year of high school and The North Myrtle Beach during the summer of 2015.) During Spring 2015, I was privileged to have a feature article in Coastal Carolina's Tempo Magazine and have since then been elected as Editorial Assistant for the 2015-2016 academic year. Since September 2015, I have been Contributing Editor for Coastal Carolina University's branch of The Odyssey.During my internships with the newspapers, I interviewed company owners, athletic coaches, event coordinators, participants of events, etc., so I feel relatively comfortable with different levels of interaction. I consider myself to be a "people person." I also have experience with different styles of writing such as creative writing for poems/short stories, informative writing for newspapers, and easy-reads for magazines. I am currently seeking work in the fields of journalism, editing, broadcasting, or anything similar to those listed. Feel free to contact me via e-mail or by phone!
