Responsibility for Costing and SAP support at multiple production plants (5 plants in 5 countries), GIDs (4 GIDs in 4 countries) and NPIs (16 NPIs in 8 counties). Assistance/backup the wider global and regional teams.Duties and competences:- responsible for building and maintaining costing information within SAP- engage in ongoing cost accounting activities, reporting and analysis- participate in annual overhead and labor rate development - lead annual (or more frequent) BOM/routing updates, as well as material cost standard to accurately reflect manufacturing operations and procurement activities - provide ongoing analysis specific to margin attainment and variances - support plant level teams in identifying sources of variance and aiding in making necessary adjustments to their costing system to better reflect reality, or stretch goals - utilize standards to support financial and operational planning and analysis activities, including capacity and labor planning - act as SAP costing and reporting expert, supporting the facility and other users to obtain and understand the information provided - participate in diverse analysis and project work supporting the organization and various levels including operations, costing, quoting, business development and FP&A - partner with estimating function to accurately understand and calculate the cost associated with new business opportunities

- project cost estimation (Quick Costing) base on Reference Library in pre tender phase in order to give input for Tender Leader and Region for decision about participation in the bid (Win/NoGo)- lead cost calculation activities with all cost contributors at tender phase in order to deliver accurate and competitive cost estimates- consolidate cost input into the commitment and secure validation from the concerned stakeholders- preparation of cost and pricing form and ensure that Alstom financial rules are followed and standard tools are used- support definition of cost drivers, identification of delta vs reference, definition of GAPs, definition and actualization of Reference Library- detailed analysis of received IFQ and following the instruction – as Participating Unit- support Bid Manager to prepare and edit IFQ – as Leading Unit, RAMP and SAMP- lead cost estimation activities for changes discussed with the customer during negotiation and update the cost commitment- support transfer of cost commitment to Project phase (TTM)- during Project execution: * support costing activities linked to scope change request * follow up of cost optimization activities – supporting WPO/WPC with saving/risk action plan, volume effect, Make or Buy changes, redesign to cost * analyze any critical cost issues with the project team until project closure * take “Return of Experience” from project to tender- benchmark with other Cost Specialist/Manager and other bids to share best practices and competitiveness
