I travel the area to provide testing services, safe sex educational materials and tools in regards to HIV related healthcare.

I am part of a cohort consisting of members holding the intersections of a transgender lived experience and being HIV positive. Our team is spread out across the United States and collaborates on various projects. Much of the work is focused on initiatives that support transgender people living with HIV, in regards to improving quality of life through: legal activism, covering critical topics such as: healthcare disparities and access; housing inequities; employment protections; parenting rights; inclusive reproductive care; comprehensive sex education; harm reduction principles; HIV prevention and retention of care.

I am the project coordinator for Arkansas Plus, which is a project housed under Arkansas Community Foundation. My role is to connect LGBTQ led and LGBTQ servicing organizations in Arkansas to organizational development opportunities and grant funding opportunities.

I served a 200 person case load on a two person team; I worked in a resource center for persons experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. Clients were assisted with housing referrals and applications; furniture program; identity document replacements; acquiring entitlement benefits; connecting to legal resources as applicable; referrals to rehabilitative services as appropriate; placement within residential care facilities as appropriate; bus pass program facilitator; developed and managed weekly clothing closet for guests; tent handout program development and facilitation; dry food and first aid resources handed out weekly; showers and phone station services for guests.

Executive Director of a transgender led and transgender servicing nonprofit. Our focus was on connecting the transgender community in Arkansas to legal and medical resources. We developed an emergency fund specifically to assist transgender people in crisis; we held several legal clinics to assist updating gendered documents; we provided comprehensive LGBTQ cultural competency in a variety of settings: clinics, restaurants, firms, schools, as requested. I was the lead resident assistant at an LGBTQ youth shelter. My duties included case management for clients, housing intake for new guests; office, clerical duties as assigned; keeping track of food inventory for the home; assessing complaints and write ups; maintenance orders for the home as needed; trained in de-escalation techniques, non lethal diffusion techniques; trauma informed care. Primary population served: youth ages 18-25 who identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender.

Cashier Position = I use a computer terminal to handle cash and credit sales. I assist patients and guests with our products. I help my co-workers complete side work and orders. I work with the manager to count down, validate, and secure my till at the end of the day. I provide service with a smile to all guests and employees. I have been trained and educated on honoring the PCI DSS standard compliance.

Cashier Sales Associate = I worked in the Cafe as a cashier and food worker. My job consisted of handling customer purchases; making food products that were sold. I also helped to both open the cafe and close the cafe. This consisted of setting up different stations for production and dismantling them at close. I also helped to clean and sanitize the work areas when specified to do so. I also helped the lead team member count inventory, pull pallets of inventory, and unload the deliveries to the work area. I also went to other areas of the store to help set up those areas if time allowed.

My primary job was being the kitchen cook. I cooked breakfast and lunch. I made up foods such as wraps and sandwiches for the deli section. I planned out a menu each week for the lunch. I also kept track of inventory and was in charge of making orders. I would check in the inventory, inspect it, and put the product in its proper location. When Valero took over the store I worked at, I helped to re-set the store and re-stock new products. I was still doing some cooking, but I moved into doing more cashiering. I waited on customers and helped them located items in the store. I promoted up selling certain items that were on specials. I sold alcohol and cigarettes to those authorized to buy with proper I.D. I also helped do side work, stock, and clean the store up. I was the opener and a key holder.

Kitchen Crew = I worked the fryers and the drive through sandwich line. I learned how to run the registers and helped run the drive-through. I worked the lobby area, greeting customers and fulfilling their orders. I also helped keep the store clean. I cleaned out the fryers and the machine used to filter the oil. I asked to be in charge of taking the grill apart and cleaning the equipment accurately to ensure quality of product. I worked as both an opener and a closer. As an opener, I helped set up the store and cook breakfast. I also helped to prep for lunch as well as regular kitchen duties. As a closer, I helped with stocking and cleaning besides regular kitchen duties. Occasionally, I would help unload and check in the delivery trucks.

Kitchen Staff = I washed dishes and kept the kitchen clean. I also did a lot of prep work; making food from scratch; preparing food for cooking. I helped to complete orders and double check them for accuracy. I also took orders over the phone. I helped to run the fryers and the grill. I was in charge of checking in inventory trucks, inspecting the delivered products, and putting the products in their proper place. I also helped to keep track of inventory for ordering. I helped with daily and weekly upkeep of equipment, such as deep cleaning the fryers and sanitizing the dishwasher.

Customer Service Representative = I provided customer service support for a major telecommunications provider. My job consisted of helping customers with setting up new accounts; managing existing accounts. I also helped customers with billing issues. I used my abilities to help customers troubleshoot problems with products and services; if the problem was beyond my expertise, I escalated the call to a tech support team. I also became a Subject Matter Expert. Under this title, I was able to help train new employees in the training bay. I also took escalated calls from upset customers to help provide one call resolution.

Stocking and Receiving Associate = I helped to unload and inspect inventory trucks. After inspection, I helped pull pallets of merchandise to the sales floor to be stocked. I also stocked the Infant's Section. This consisted of cleaning up the department, ensuring product placement, and working the back stock onto the sales floor. I also helped my co-workers in other areas when I could.
