I have a trade background, having qualified as a mechanical fitter in South Africa. Since then my career has seen me become an Asset Management practitioner with sound knowledge and understanding of maintenance & reliability processes, complemented with project and change management experience. Being highly proficient with SAP EAM, Oracle eAM and JDE, I have delivered training in these and peripheral applications as well as maintenance business processes, to maintenance, engineering and production personnel. I have worked on Business Improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime through better maintenance work management and equipment defect eliminationMy trade background, CMMS and management experience allows me to bring a unique viewpoint to translate and mediate between IT/IS and operations departments. Drawing from my range of skills across Business Analysis, Change Management, Business Process Mapping, Training, Defect Elimination, RCM, Maintenance Work Management and LEAN 5S, I am able to promote understanding of business operational requirements and IT governance requirements to all stakeholders. I have worked in operational roles and provided consulting services to the Mining, Manufacturing and Oil & Gas industries. In this time I gained understanding of and an appreciation for an enterprise perspective of asset management, including enterprise architecture and the important role Information Technology plays in building a stable platform for applications that support and enable asset management at a strategic level.
