I am a partner at Hogan Lovells and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. My practice has a focus on acquisition, development and financing, usually from the owner/operator’s perspective. I also have a particular expertise in "public/private" transactions, representing developers in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) put out by the City or State of New York (or an instrumentality or agency thereof). In addition to being involved in transactions covering the more traditional property types, such as office, retail and multifamily (including affordable and fair market housing, ground-up condominium developments and condominium conversions), I also have experience with various “alternative” property types, including hotels, assisted and senior living and student housing. The majority of my clients have elected to operate their properties in joint venture with other parties and, accordingly, a significant part of my practice has been the negotiation of partnership and limited liability company agreements, representing the developer/operator partner as well as the capital partner and/or preferred equityholder.
