I am the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Purpose for Insurance AG, a Swiss-based advisory firm specializing in purpose-driven thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and foresight services for insurance and reinsurance organizations worldwide.Until December 31, 2024, I served as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Research & Foresight at The Geneva Association, the premier think tank and the only global association of insurance and reinsurance CEOs, representing companies with over USD 22 trillion in assets under management. In this capacity, I also acted as Executive Director of the Global Reinsurance Forum, an advocacy body comprising CEOs from 13 leading reinsurance companies, which together account for two-thirds of the global reinsurance market. I continue to support The Geneva Association part-time as Research Director for Financial Inclusion and Protection Gaps.Prior to joining The Geneva Association in 2019, I co-founded and chaired a reinsurance-focused business development advisory firm and served as a non-executive board member at Trust International Insurance and Reinsurance Company in Bahrain.I began my reinsurance career as a Senior Economist at Swiss Re, subsequently becoming the company’s first Chief Economist for the Asia-Pacific region in Hong Kong. I later returned to Zurich as Managing Director of Global Communications Content. I then joined Converium, a global top-10 reinsurer (later acquired by SCOR), as Head of Corporate Development and Communications/Investor Relations.I hold a master’s degree in economics from the University of Konstanz (Germany) and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). Additionally, I am a lifetime-appointed Research Fellow at Peking University.
