Manages large and complex water and wastewater engineering projects. Essential duties include procurement, drawing review, material selection, cost analysis, construction oversight, scheduling, project planning and project coordination.

Performing technical reviews of drawings for land/subdivision development to ensure consistent and accurate application of policies and standards. Review of water and wastewater infrastructure on land use review applications. Resolving issues with engineers, architects, developers and other stakeholders to obtain conformance with policies and standards. Conducting permit reviews and utility approvals. Providing technical assistance and expertise to internal and external customers. Reviewing, analyzing and resolving customer inquiries. Assisting with various activities in order to provide an integrated process that results in a high level of customer service in resolving complex and technical issues. Resolving real estate and easement related issues to ensure construction projects comply with Water and Wastewater Standards, tariffs, policies and City Code. Identifying, developing and implementing process improvements.

Resident Project Representative responsibilities for this position include observing construction of civil/municipal related projects, materials and methods used, and verifying compliance with approved plans and specifications. This position will also prepare for and conduct preconstruction, progress, and conflict resolution meetings; negotiate and prepare change orders; and effectively interact/communicate with clients, contractors and SEH personnel. Responsibilities will also include completing daily diaries of all construction project activities as well as completing reviews and recommendations for approval of contractor pay requests.Technician responsibilities for this position include performing mid-level technician work on civil engineering design and construction projects; accurately drafting construction plan information; computing horizontal and vertical alignments; conducting earthwork calculations; design calculations for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main utilities; preparing quantity computations and cost estimates.

Performed concrete, soil and aggregate testing on construction job sites and in laboratory to verify the material met the required guidelines per the project plans and specifications.
